LGBTQA’s Safe Space

Safe Space is a new Sow A Seed mentoring and interactive program for LGBTQQIA youth ages 13-18 in the San Joaquin County area. This program is facilitated by one of Sow A Seed’s group facilitators, trained by the One Circle Foundation. This group values boundaries and will uphold youth’s privacy and confidentiality if desired.

What is it?

The purpose and objective of our group is to strengthen individuals by providing a vehicle for positive leadership, change, and growth in the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, intersex, queer, questioning, and ally community.

LGBTQQIA youth meet weekly for 8-10 weeks for fun and engaging activities. It is our intention to provide further opportunity to obtain well-rounded life experiences by offering leadership skills and the atmosphere needed to succeed academically, socially, and culturally.
